The Meaning Of Color Part 3: Green
This week in color psychology, we’re exploring the prevalence of green in our lives; a treacherous color. Green has a relaxing effect on the body and mind, leaving feelings of comfort and calm to anyone who incorporates it into their lives.

If you’re drawn to the color green, you cannot abide others telling you what to do- you need to be free to make your own decisions. As befits your color, you love nature and being outdoors, especially in the spring and summer months. You have a gentle, serene disposition and are not easily upset. Friends turn to you in time of crisis, and while you’re always helpful, you must be careful to not neglect your own needs in the process. You tend to be more of an observer than one who acts, and can fall prey to gossiping about what you have seen and become envious of others.
Words that might describe those with a green personality include compassionate, patient, self-effacing and calm.
If you dislike the color green, you might tend to keep your own company and come across as standoffish. You have never been one to follow the crowd, and choose to build your own path. You prefer city living and modern conveniences.
Wear green at work if you want to motivate independence and bring clear insight and fresh ideas. House plants are a great way to bring the energy of green into your life at home.
